When you
first contact Fitwell Coaching,
you will schedule an appointment to visit the studio to conduct
an initial consultation and assessment. We will discuss
your current fitness status, fitness goals and timeframe for
reaching those goals. Together you and Fitwell Coaching
will determine which training package is most appropriate for
achieving your goals. Generally, the average person will benefit
most from a three-month package that consists of three personal
training sessions per week (our
Silver
package) and a nutrition analysis and
consultation.
During the
initial consultation, you will review your fitness goals,
complete the paperwork and take care of the financial terms. All
packages are pre-paid according to the payment terms during the initial visit. Immediately
following the administrative process, you will undergo a fitness
assessment in order to establish baselines from which your
subsequent progress will be measured. The fitness
assessment is comprised of exercise tests to measure
cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance,
flexibility, and body fat composition. The entire
assessment and consultation will take about an hour.
Once you've
completed the consultation and decided on a training package,
you will set a time and date to come back and begin your
program. Your program will be custom designed using all of the
information we gathered from you during the initial
consultation. You will be assigned a personal trainer
based upon your preferences noted in the consultation and on
your desired training times and days and your specific fitness
goals. The first week or two of training will consist of lighter and
shorter sessions in order for your body to become acclimated to
physical fitness, as well as allow your trainer to become
familiar with your body and fitness abilities. This is
known as the "Conditioning Phase" of training.
Following the
Conditioning Phase, you will begin the "Improvement Phase" where
the workload and the variety of exercises increases. This
is the phase where you explicitly work toward your fitness and
health goals. In the first
two weeks after your nutrition consultation, you should begin to
see results. As the weeks pass, you will notice continual and
gradual improvement in your appearance, energy levels and
fitness abilities, as long as you are scheduling and showing up
for your sessions, allowing your trainer to push you, and
following the nutrition guidelines you were taught.
Discipline
with your attendance, discipline with your eating, commitment to
your health, commitment to your fitness efforts, and an overall
acceptance of the lifestyle change you are now undergoing is the
