What are some questions I should ask before hiring a coach?
  • Is the trainer certified?
  • Does the trainer train at a private gym?
  • Is the cost of the gym included in the price of the training package?
  • How long has the trainer been training for? (More than two years is good)
  • What is the trainer's success rate?
  • Does the trainer use fitness goals as a basis for developing fitness programs?
  • Does the trainer develop fitness programs in a manner that makes it difficult to fail?
  • Does the trainer provide nutritional guidance?
  • May you speak with one or two of the trainer's clients?
  • How long is a training session? (They should be about 45-55 minutes)
  • Does the trainer train more than one client at a time? (Preferably not so you will get undivided attention)
  • How long will it take to see results? (Three months is reasonable)
  • Does the trainer keep records of your workout program?
  • What does a training program cost?
  • Does the trainer carry liability insurance?
