What does
'BMR' mean? |
|
Base Metabolic
Rate
(BMR) is essentially the number of calories your body burns while at
rest. Of course, the more you burn at rest, the thinner you
will stay provided you do not increase the amount of calories you
ingest regularly.
Ever wonder how you could get your body to burn more calories while you
sleep? Simple: Add more lean muscle mass through progressive resistance
training. Every pound of lean muscle you add will burn about 50 extra
calories.
